that sort of delay would drive me nuts… especially if you've already established you like one another - I mean, (surprise) I am bad with boundaries and coming on strong, but if I wanted someone to get back to me and I was on a day delay I would lose my mind staring at my phone or jumping in excitement at a new text…

I feel like texting for me has erased an actual conversational flow for me "good morning" is an indication that I have opened an all day channel for free flowing thoughts throughout the day once you have given me an acknowledging responding text indicating the channel has been opened
