I agree that this show does focus on the performance more than the off-stage storylines, which I totally appreciate. In fact, I often skip through the rehearsal segments because some of the interview/interaction with partner/choreographer stuff is so fakey.

First of all, sort of relevant to your comment is this series of videos that Season 2 winner Benji Schwimmer just did with Mormon Stories, in which he comes out. http://mormonstories.org/35…

I was sort of in the same position. My best friend became obsessed with the show in high school, and eventually, we lived together in college. So I caught a lot of it just by hanging out with her. But then after I graduated college and was unemployed for a few months, I started watching reruns in the mornings on USA

I liked Rico early on. While he was irritating, I thought he had some fair points to make, and David/Nate's responses to him often made them look worse in my eyes. Like the idea that having "Diaz" in their company name could attract more Spanish-speaking clients and that appealing to that audience is worthwhile. David

I hate-watched this show and definitely am not an expert, but I think that in the beginning Pacey and Joey are not friends. They live in a small town, and share a best friend, so they are connected that way. But I thought they sort of couldn't stand each other.

I think you're right on about why I hate Tebow. His religious showboating comes off as utterly calculated and phony to me, and the pro-life commercials were really just the icing on the cake. But all of that would just be sorta irritating, if it hadn't been for all of the unmerited attention before he ever joined the

I think that yes, we should care this much about sports, or at any rate, there's certainly nothing wrong with caring this much. In addition to the competitive aspect, I think I watch sports for a lot of the same reasons I enjoy art or music or movies. Because I love seeing humans excel and I love watching a story

It's easy to hate teams, because like @avclub-0f0d67e214f9fef69b278e3d08114da9:disqus says, you don't see a group of individuals. You see an institution. And when that institution offends you in some way - cheating, doping, bribing, playing dirty, having an insane payroll that kills the competitive nature of the game

I agree. These recaps are amazing. I love the references to fragments - I think the idea of only accepting pieces of others and only giving pieces of yourself is really integral to SFU, but I never really thought about it in quite that way.

I saw Mitch Hedberg in Madison, WI in 2000 for Strategic Grill Locations. He was perfect - loose, friendly, having fun, and not wasted on stage (which I hear was very common later on). Afterwards, he signed CDs for the few people who wanted them, including me and my then-boyfriend. We shared that CD for years, even

When they said "Rihanna" last week, I figured there was no way they'd make 8 Flavahz or RNG do Birthday Cake or S&M. Ah, stay classy MTV.
