I almost always listen to the in game soundtrack no matter how repetitive. The one exception is usually sports games. While EA occasionally grabs some good songs most of them are crap and get old fast. In Madden I can't stand the announcers either so I usually turn them off and just have the ambient field sounds.…

The minumum PC specs listed on GOG seem ridiculously high for a ten year old game. My laptop has a much smaller processor than supposedly required but seems to be doing okay. It hasn't melted in my lap or anything.

I don't know. I don't see any indications based on the control options in the settings but that doesn't mean it isn't possible.
