"I WANTED IT AND I TOOK IIIIIIT!!"
"I WANTED IT AND I TOOK IIIIIIT!!"
Is that a Bobby Bottleservice quote?
YES! I thought the original song was.. well, more original. The remix sounds so generic.
If you want to entice people to try out something, asking them to create yet another new account on some website (which also asks you for your credit card details, btw) is an idiotic idea.
Yeah, the last act was pretty weak. I was expecting the survivors to explore the underground facilities a bit more, to see how it functioned, trying to escape the place. Releasing all the monsters wasn't very satisfying, for some reason.
Wasn't Kevin a murderous little kid? It's been a couple of years since I saw the film..
Also, I'm a bit unclear on all the bits that say things like "he explained to The AV Club".. are these referencing a previous article, or does Ron Hart just mean he talked to people involved with the film for this article?
I tried watching this again a couple of years ago, and I didn't like it all. Maybe I'll try it again.
I feel Rockstar's games tend to be tainted with a virulent streak of cynicism, and not the kind that comes from having an actual worldview, but the kind of kneejerk cynicism that a 15-year-old schoolkid has. It's as if the makers at some point realise they could be telling a story with real depth, actual rounded…
Giamatti was Christopher Lee all this time?
Yeah, as soon as I read Weitzman's name, I decided to give it a pass. It wouldn't be so bad if that whole weedy persona he does, didn't feel so artificial and forced.
I can't stand U2 myself, and there are parts of the podcast where the Scotts do start to talk about U2 seriously, which is when my eyes glaze over - but the rest is quite funny.
Watch it - Katherine Parkinson is a fucking gem, right from the get go, none of this "coming into her own" bullshit.
Yep, she was kind of an awful person towards the other contestants.
This seemed like another case where CBB's obsession with spoofing film and TV just didn't deliver. It all felt a bit lazy to me.
She was pretty mediocre.
They had that exact same discussion on one of Earwolf's podcasts recently, I think - maybe on How Did This Get Made, seeing as it's Paul Scheer?
Made me think of Lapkus, too. It certainly didn't sound digitally altered.
Really? In my experience, people can't seem to shut up about it. (And it's a fine film, to be clear.)
I'm a controversial Best Show-listener - I really enjoy Tom's rants, I love the calls (and Tom's rants), but I just cannot handle the Wurster sketches. As soon as I hear his voice, I sigh deeply.. there goes the next 30 minutes.. or more.
