This happened to me two weeks ago! Literally every other one of my friends from college was invited to the bachelor/bachelorette party and I wasn't, even though I was in town early the same as everyone else. I felt pretty left out. I also ended up drunkenly mentioning this to a non-affiliated fellow wedding guest. My

I'm always annoyed by when characters speak

realllllly bothered me in The Pianist, even though I love that movie. I am positive you could find enough good actors who speak fluent Spanish to populate a film, even if you are making a movie in the US

I don't agree per se; even though Spain is a European country, I honestly think that to many people (even subconsciously) it reads as "less white." Spain is included as a country of origin in the official designation of "Hispanic"). You could say the same of countries such as Albania or Greece. Incidentally, it really

"A better question might be, 'Why make the family British, not Spanish, as they were in real life?' But the answer to that is fairly obvious too: Bayona probably couldn’t get The Impossible made on a big enough scale with Spanish stars, and given that the story is really about the family’s search for one another, it

There's a bit of a documentary that goes with it that might talk about that because that sounds vaguely familiar to me.

Tucker Max has an essay about this (my impression is that he got so bored with having sex with normal women that he moved on to collecting girls with abstruse conditions). He liked it too.

I'm not that "into" impressions but I was pretty shocked by how good this impression is, especially because he just turns it on all of a sudden, so it's dramatic.

That's because that's the good shit written by legitimate authors. Why would you want it to be lumped in with mass produced tripe?

No wayyyyyyy. I think that Jane Eyre is the best female role model in all of literature (not that her having Asperger's would preclude this, but that I've thought a lot about her character). I totally disagree but am very interested in hearing what has led you to this conclusion!
