The Bends is about many things. In particular in introduced me to about the most beautiful rock falsetto I've ever heard.

My sympathies. It's clear you had a connection with the man and I am sorry for your loss.

Without doubt Caitlin Moran and her vagina would be thrilled be be getting a shout out on an interney message board.

I'd have taped it for you but the entire blacony collapsed under me at this party I was attending.

Her uterus was pushed through her cervix! This made me shudder. Does this kind of thing actually happen?

Yes, towards the end, although nothing very in depth. Mostly a bit of an 'in memoriam' piece.

Don't forget the 80s classic 'Gotcha!' or, of course, 'Revenge of the Nerds'.

Ah, back to back then.

Cather in the Rye
Right on Nathan. Few things I've read had the effect on me as the first time I read Catcher in the Rye. A sophomore in high school, all high emotion and misplaced ideals and an aching need to have my time count for something important, though I couldn't identify what that was or what that meant.

Valentine's. Great episode, at any rate.

The Halloween episode with the stabbing (a schizophrenic, wasn't it?) does rank near the top as well of the episode where Dr. Greene was violently beaten in the bathroom. And Clooney - he was great on ER. Drunk and yelling into a restaurant for Hathaway from the street. Great moments.

True Rowan. With the notable exception of the genre crossing Ravenloft and the fantasy elements in much of the White Wolf material. Of course those are gaming materials and geeks of my sort will eat most anything.

Very funny Zuul. The perfect compliment to that diatribe.

Thieves' World. Now there's a series I read through even it's present incarnation. Stopped with the Wheel of Time very early in.

Perceptive Bradley! The old man did have canceraids. Perhaps that horse can finally be put out to pasture now that it's been given form.

Final Question
To answer your final question Noel I very much did.

Through in some Taco and it will be a perfect 80s soundtrack.

I'm with you Giggles. Spent some time back at King's Dominion back in the day and the sun bakes you there into confusion.

Isn't Adventureland being released the same weekend as Observe and Report? Interesting and possibly the high water mark for this form of comedy.

That is a classic from the days of tamborines and triangles. About John Brown I think.
