I haven't read the books, so I don't know the story outside of reviews. The way the ubiquitous previews are run, Ramona is built up to be this ideal figure worth loving and fighting for. The whole story looks to hinge on that. That's a hard sell for me, but not because she isn't pretty or whatever…
