DEFINITELY Friday Night Lights (And I don't remember them announcing it). I want to discuss the Mud Bowl.

Seeing the names "Ben and Jerry" together in your post had me googling the new Ben and Jerry's core ice cream flavors for about 15 minutes. I'm hungry.
It was as if he knew the outcome of the Olympic hockey games.
Ben Affleck also testified in front of Congress yesterday on the Congo. I know someone who was covering it and apparently the line to get in was insane. So in the battle of Affleck v. Rogan, Affleck apparently won.

AND WRIST MEAT. I don't think I can ever scrub that scene from my mind.
I've only seen each episode once, so perhaps it deserves a rewatch. I just remember it being quite slow. It's probably because the show is so character-based, and at that point you aren't devoted enough to them to enjoy it in the same way.
I wouldn't have wanted them to show the whole game in primetime anyway. I was ridiculously upset at the outcome, and I couldn't even watch the 5 minute recap they played at the beginning of primetime. They also replayed the entire game on NBCSN around 5pm.
Yeah, the reviews are not great so far. Parenthood also took a very long time to get it's footing though. I knew a bunch of people who couldn't get past the pilot and gave up on it.
THAT WAS SO TENSE/UPSETTING. I think I'm just going to be depressed for the rest of the day.
Raise your hand if you're watching the US v. Czech game at work!
What bothers me most about these overproduced primetime packages is that they constantly cut between sports. I don't remember them doing that for London. It's making it so much harder for me to get invested in these sports that I'm already not that invested in.
I find it kind of funny, because the captions seem like what Shoshanna would actually write on social media, but AV Club is probably only mentioning it because Lena Dunham tweeted it out yesterday.
I guess he only does the morning coverage? I saw him doing the Sunday morning broadcast. Not sure why they wouldn't go with him instead, he most definitely would be better than Lauer.
This sounds like the first line of a new Vampire Weekend song.
Apparently Matt Lauer's taking over (http://wintergames.ap.org/a… ). I wish they would move Dan Patrick to primetime and stick Lauer in the daytime stuff instead, though.
Nah, Landry and Tyra probably just pretend it never happened after season 2, just like the show (Not that I fault them for that).
Are the sports facilities okay though? Various news sources made it sound like the slopestyle course was dangerous (although maybe that's just Shawn White whining) and last night NBC was saying the mogul slope was becoming treacherous or something.
I'm rewatching season 2 (yes, I know. But I can't remember the other storylines besides the murder and the nurse so I want to decide if I like it otherwise) and I just finished the episode where Tami finds Julie making out with the Swede in his sketchy van. It's a powerful scene, with Tami pulling her out of the van…
Did you catch that short segment about the mogul skier who fell during practice rounds? It looked awful, she hurt her knee and they had to use that scary body bag thing to lift her off the course. Then as a kicker Costas added that as she was going into the ambulance, she asked her parents if she can still be called…
