I am a huge Joss fan-HUGE- but the praise for OMWF is way overblown.  Some of the performances look VERY stiff, there is some very detectable auto-tune (to an engineer's ear anyway) and much of the music is just derivative.  It looks like an initial outing. Dr. Horrible, however, is a gem.
