I'm always happy to meet another fan of The Fades.

I was not aware of this before now.

Sigh. I was really hoping that line was foreshadowing a paternity reveal. The dream is over (and has been since Anna and Elsa were born, to be honest).

I don't know what is, but despite understanding how terrible Blaine was I never wanted Duckie with Andie, because

I love the show within a the show so very much. It's a delight.

For a split second I thought her character was played by a time traveling Kirstie Alley.

I never heard that perspective on their characterizations, but now that I have, my enjoyment of this story has increased by maybe 15%. Not enough to be truly consequential, but enough for me to note the change.

This news actually got me to binge watch the aired episodes. It's a solid show. Story aside, I'm a big fan of the world building and accent work. They really increase the plausibility of the premise.

I was too young to appreciate how awful the April story line was I when it first aired, and I really enjoyed Marano on Switched at Birth so I'm honestly excited to see her in this.

My thinking is that Father Jude is their older brother. At some point their dad committed suicide. We know Jude was away from his family at 18, but we don't know if that's before or after Riggs faked her death and I'm too lazy to truly make sense of the timeline.

Unless that show were Pushing Daisies [pours some out for Pushing Daisies]

I was 2 in 1993 so I more or less grew up with the movie. My friend and I were discussing how much we love Sister Act II just last week (it had a young Lauryn Hill!) so this was a delightful homage for us.

I agree with most of what you say, but I think there's one difference between Rafael and the other characters when it comes to the trauma they've had to deal with. It appears to me (and I'm happy to hear counter-arguments to me) that Raf receives the least amount of sympathy from other characters, when— after Petra—

I'm super excited for it as well. As much as I adore this show, I dislike how the very fucked up shit Raf has dealt with is more or less ignored by every major character. As long as his return to hoe-dom (ho-ishness?) isn't used solely as an excuse to vilify him (and I have more faith in the writers than that) I am

I see your point, but shows like The Returned and Downton Abbey both aired abroad first and still had lively comments sections. Your could even say the same for Netflix shows that were still being reviewed weeks after most people had first binged the series.

I guess "earned" is perhaps not the best word. It's more like this season has really cemented the idea that Jane loves Michael above all others and would reunite with him in a perfect world. And while Rose being gone is a first step toward creating that perfect world, you're right to bring up the fact that there's

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I find Michael most bearable when he is with Jane so if the show insists on keeping him alive, I suppose this is the best I could have hoped for. I just hope this love triangle is officially dead and that their getting back together doesn't upset the stable co-parenting situation Jane and Raf have settled in to.
