We had a choir, drums, electric guitars, bass and lengthy funk interludes.

Simplicity of the plot aside, I loved this episode because it perfectly encapsulated my experiences with both black and white churches. I laughed so hard I was crying.

If I recall correctly, she sleeps with him when he kidnaps her to distract him. The kidnapping was in episode 19, three chapters before the finale.

This is why I really wish I had a better grasp on the timeline. It seemed to me that Petra waited a few days to inseminate, but I honestly have no idea. Also everything I've hastily googled only states how long after a missed period a woman should wait before trying a home pregnancy test, but not how long after

I'm not entirely convinced that baby Petra is carrying isn't Zaz's. I'm fuzzy on the timeline, but it seems too early for her to know she is pregnant from Rafael's sperm.

Coming from two parents who themselves had less than stellar fathers
(I've had zero contact with my maternal grandfather since I was infant),
I can say that they never used Vietnam as an explanation for the behavior. Now maybe that's because the truth was so self-evident it didn't need to be said. Maybe it's because

I'm not dissing straight wigs/weaves or relaxers but, it's so nice to see different natural black hair/hairstyles on tv.

Linens 'n Things?

The topic was (briefly) raised before. Gretchen says she and Jimmy could have done "butt stuff" at the end of the episode when she gets her period.

I know I watched that show, but I remember absolutely nothing about it

Can you give examples of Stiles taking Scott for granted? It's an opinion I haven't seen expressed before. I keep thinking back to the first episode when Stiles was already lamenting potentially losing Scott when they graduated, which implied to me that he wasn't taking the friendship for granted at all.

Thank you for the information! Clearly, I would've been no help during that particular emergency.

I truly despise the fact that Scott will not tell Kira what he knows about what's happening to her. You think he would have learned from Stiles keeping the truth of Malia's parentage from her.

What I got from the flashback was that Scott's dog was attacked by another dog (could have been a wolf, I wasn't paying rapt attention) and he had an asthma attack. I thought he might have also tried to break up the fight, but now that I think back, it was the leash that was bloody, not Scott.

I'm happy someone else remembers this show.

My outrage was completely fabricated. Unfortunately, I can't help you parse the Malaria mystery. Ever since the Sterek shippers became… vocal, I've steered clear of discussion of all non-cannon ships.

How dare you. Kira has long since been promoted to full on replacement love interest. Just his episode Scott dropped the L bomb.

Eight year old white girl, middle of the ghetto, bunch of monsters this time of night with quantum physics books? She 'bout to start some shit.

I just saw the movie with my sister and we felt exactly the same. That sequence truly stands out as tone deaf and unpleasant. If we were meant to dislike the assistant, the film should have spent more time with her/playing up her dis-likability. But even then it probably would have been too much.

I had the same thought about Claire and Jamie's mental health. Even if they physically survive (and of course they will) the trauma from what occurred at Wentworth Prison is going to endure. On one hand, I don't know how much I'd like to see Outlander become a show about two people surviving PTSD (I like my romance
