I read some excerpts from (I think) the third book and wasn't engaged, but that's obviously not a great place to start. The idea of a hard SF TV show has me salivating, and whatever Robinson lacks in the human-interest department I'm sure can be improved by the TV writers—that's their specialty, after all.

I personally suspect that the Caroline personality is another fake-out, a case of implanted memories or something. It's just too soon in the show to know this much about her real life.

Yeah, it bothers me that so many people are against the show because they think we're supposed to be pro-Dollhouse. The people who work there obviously aren't purely, mustache-twirlingly evil, and there's some moral ambiguity, but I thought it was pretty obvious from the start that they were the badguys, and

People keep criticizing this show, and fairly, for presenting us with no character we can connect with, since the heroes are all blank slates…and yet, based on everything I know about the behind-the-scenes shenanigans, and the way Whedon tends to work as a showrunner, I find it very hard to believe that we're not

Clearly, I am not of the Body
I'm amazed no one's mentioned it yet, but doesn't it seem like the writers of "Angel" just flat out ripped off the "Archons" episode for their Jasmine storyline in season 4? With multiple episodes, that storyline was able to do more with the concept (including playing up the

Kendra
I'm pretty sure that the actress who played Kendra wanted to leave the show, with Faith stepping in to take over what *would* have been her storyline in S3. Faith's awesome, but in many ways I wish Kendra had been able to stay onboard—it would have been more dramatically satisfying and logical to see her in

"Roland"
I really think you're underselling "Roland", which was one of my favourite episodes from Season one. Ivanek's performance is incredible—I almost thought they'd cast a real mentally handicapped man. Also, technically, it's not a ghost story—it's more like "Donovan's Brain" with slightly more realistic
