Stringer Bell was always my example.

So I missed both the Todd news and the renewal news, and Disqus is so shitty that I can't bear to scroll back in time. How did people react to both?

Oh god, the WWI bad history is beginning. I'm going to read so many articles about how the war was pointless, the Germans did nothing wrong, the generals were all idiots, and how it all ended up leading directly to WWII. I'm going to have an aneurysm by the end of it.

Jerry does nothing to deserve the amount of cruelty he gets from virtually everyone in his life. It quickly stopped being funny and started being pretty sad, especially because Parks likes to pretend that it's characters are fundamentally nice people.

In this picture he had big sunglasses on and was bald. Since I had never seen him bald, I thought "Ha, he's using a still from 50/50 as his profile picture!" and never thought twice about it.

I have a friend who very much resembles Joseph Gordon-Levitt. So much so that I always assumed his facebook profile picture was of JGL as a joke. I found out yesterday that it was actually him.

The list of things that are different between Game of Thrones and A Song of Ice and Fire unfortunately (albeit understandably) focuses on superficial details. I'd love to see an article that discussed the rather gaping thematic differences.

I think there needs to be a moratorium of 5 to 10 years. The more recent ones are always poorer.

I think I've always been one of the most vocal critics of the Jerry-cruelty, so I'm there with you.

Steve Coogan's Hatesong is phenomenal.

Loved that part. Disliked the Jerry/Beth ending.

I felt like I was slowly going insane over the course of that episode of Rick and Morty. It's a shame the ending was so over-the-top schmaltzy because otherwise it would've been one of my favourite episodes of comedy ever.

In her AMA she said she will be back this season.

I normally enjoy Rosenberg's writing but it strikes me as if she's blaming the show for what it isn't rather than reviewing it for what it is.

There is so much "Jesus didn't exist" bullshit spewed out there, that the subreddit /r/badhistory had to ban individual posts on the topic because it was a never-ending stream. Now it's collected in megathreads: http://www.reddit.com/r/bad…

It is acceptable for academic purposes. No one is trying to pretend it never happened.

When you break up with a crazy, manipulative, violent partner, you often have to go completely no-contact to avoid them ever creeping back into your life or your mind in any way. It's kind of like that.

I thought I would dislike this episode, because I'm generally not a fan of the "showy" stuff, but I thought it was pretty damn great. It really committed to the weirdness without becoming incoherent.

Reflecting on Loki's True Detective review, I wonder what people would have thought of the first season of The Wire if they were told ahead of time that it was going to be the best thing ever. One could levy similar criticisms, I would think.

I think fanboys will always come up with deflections for criticism. It's just the way things are. I liked Breaking Bad a lot but god forbid if you criticize any element of it.
