It's really funny to watch the social justice types fall over each other in an attempt to criticize Orange is the New Black.

It's kind of a masterpiece.

Everyone complains about grade inflation until it stops happening.  They should remember that this is why it is useful to avoid.

This is the AV Club, where letter grades are serious business and giving any grade higher or lower than you think means you're a hack writer.

That piece he links to on Orange is the New Black is really bizarre.

It should've been called the "Bechdel Index" or whatever.  "Test" involves the sense of passing and failing, which makes people take the idea behind it too seriously.

That's a given.  Just waiting for the right time.

I just realized I've only seen three movies from 2013.  Someone give me a recommendation.

The candiru scene is one of the funniest bits of comedy I've seen in a long time.  The way Stonebridge emphasizes "barbs" with his hands is just so funny to me, for some reason.

I think it's fairly easy to see it done that way, actually.  I can imagine you in a different universe reading a list of "50 Films That Needed a Longer Running Time" and saying "What a hack!  He thinks Zodiac should focus more on Graysmith's home life, when the film's central focus upon the Killer deliberately mirrors…

Eh, I like a lot of these suggestions.

It is fun, however, reading Ender's Game and noting how much of the book involves naked boys.  Don't get that experience if you separate that from the author.

I'd be fine with Gervais being ten times as annoying.  Doesn't change the fact he provided The Office, Extras, hundreds of hours of radio/podcasts, etc.  More than a fair trade in my opinion.

The question for you would be how you would get to Tajikistan.  You wouldn't have a passport, and only as much money as you had on you before your bank accounts were frozen.

I think it would be a damn shame if history ends up judging Breaking Bad more fondly than Justified.
