Overthinker, what Odo moments are you referring to in "Past Tense"? I don't think he appears much at all except for one or two scenes in the entire two-part episode. I don't suppose you are confusing it with "Things Past", which was a Occupation "flashback" episode circa season 5?

I have to admit, I completely missed that these people were originally going to be colonists anyway. I thought it was a starfleet ship or a cargo ship that had crashed on the planet. Given that information, though, it makes even more sense that there wasn't a mass exodus at the end of the episode because, as you say,

They may have felt angry and betrayed by Alixus' confession that she was the reason for the crash in the first place and the non-tech field she set up, but I submit that wouldn't really affect the bonds of community that had been forged. Community is a phenomenon, by definition, transcendent to the individual. Alixus

Poor Tasha. It must be spiritually crippling to fail to find joy in anything. I pray to the Lord every night that you might find your way out of this forest of despair in which you have chosen to exist.
