Hey
Is this set in the Victorian era or what?
No caffeine even?
He fixed the fern back.
WRITE THAT DOWN!
shame it didn't make national news.

Bitter Tea has some good songs, but is probably my least favourite simply because of the overuse of the tack piano (that harpsichord-sounding thing).
He did some great work with Stephen King's "Wizard and Glass". And this unforgettable album cover for Download's "The Eyes of Stanley Pain": http://tinyurl.com/l5j9cn
that 'already in black' performance gets me every time..fucking incredible
Richard Davies, Flaming Lips, &c.
Has no one here ever heard of Richard Davies? I've been growing increasingly enamored with this singer-songwriter over the past year (borderline obsessed??) and the guy doesn't even have a Wikipedia page.
I tried getting into Scrubs a couple of times. How fuckin cheesy is that show?
I always root for that guy's career. I've liked him ever since 3rd Rock.
Blueberry Boat contains a lot of tedious, excessively drawn out material. As an album it's one of my least favourites. Along with Bitter Tea…the more Matt Friedberger stays away from the "tack piano", the better.
richard davies and the flaming lips
performing "already in black" by davies' band the moles.
Darth hit the nail on the head. You listen to rough cuts of your own material in order to contemplate what you migth want to add or remove before finalizing it.
I also saw them live in '06 and had much the same experience. They have traditionally always re-arranged their songs so tha ttheir concerts are more like frenetic mega-mixes of their catalogue. Less so after Widow City, though.
widow city, their most recent studio effort, is very pleasing and coherent record. probably my favourite thus far.
That looks a lot like a front cover!
Congratulations on finding someone whose hiding isn't "such a big deal", but who isn't even hiding in the first place. The guy just doesn't like interviews or being photographed by the media. He's not literally a recluse.
It looks very close to the Cadillac Miller-Meteor ambulance/hearse combination car, anywhere from the 1959 model to a mid-60s model. So yeah, basically it is Ecto-1.
