There are those viewers of course, but i think a lot of people that "idolize" Gordon Gekko and Scarface don't actually, they just think they're cool characters and can enjoy them while also appreciating the satiric nature of it.
You can appreciate movies on more than one level… I hate that we have to qualify liking antihero movies and shows now.
