Do we know for sure Ted's the father of the children? By now I'm thinking the mother already has kids and the show is cleverly named to not involve Ted in their parentage. Maybe this is his way of telling them they're adopted.

No doubt, I'm not arguing against that. I think that there's no real reason for a normal person to have the kind of weapons used in this incident. I'm just  saying that I don't think we can casually dismiss any blame that comes the way of violence in media, when it obviously has some effect on people.

What the fuck. Seriously, the only way I'll continue watching is if they meet the mother at the end of this season. Otherwise, I'm only coming back for the series finale. (Okay, maybe not, but I'll be significantly less happy about watching it!)

Of course it's ridiculous to say violent video games cause these things, but it's also disturbing to see how casually people dismiss this as if it plays absolutely no role whatsoever. Everything is a contributing factor.

Yeah, Seinfeld and Curb do this all the time too, though the League doesn't pull it off quite as often. I still haven't gotten annoyed by it yet though.
