#2 was kind of valid for me, as I literally stopped watching the video 5 seconds into it.

Cumberbatch's Assange looks like an alien. It made me think that Jeremy Renner would be a better match, physically. And lo and behold, last year's Internet says he was initially approached for the film. I imagine his Oz accent was even worse than Cumberbatch's.

That Werner Herzog isn't directing this film is the missed opportunity of the year.
