I consider myself conservative, and would be embarrassed by those people if I considered myself in any way associated with them.  Instead, I'm enraged at them for taking their half-baked and wrong-headed at best / sociopathic or plain Darth Vader evil at worst views and agenda and slapping the label 'conservative' on

But Jake totally got screwed over by Vienna after his season of the Bachelor, then Vienna and Casey turned the house against him from day one on Bachelor Pad even after he won the first challenge and offered her a rose.  He was totally set up to fail on the restaurant show, and he didn't have a good partner on Dancing

I didn't want to believe the Joe Francis episode really existed, so I did a quick Google search for it.  Now Google tells me that episode not only exists, but most reviews of the first episode of this show on other sites are fairly mild, sometimes even positive regarding the premise of this horrible, horrible piece of

Two words: C Section.  Or maybe that's one word.  Whatever it is, it rocks.  Just don't look over the barrier until things are back inside and sewn up.

It does get better.  I got a lot less panicked when I realized the stuff you lose is not really lost, it's just on hiatus.  It might be a couple years down the road instead of a couple months (just trying to help you frame the expectation) but once things get settled back down, you'll have all the good things you used

I thought she captured the spirit of the character in the book better than anyone else in Help, and her character was by far the most three dimensional in both the book and the movie.

Finally got around to this, and I'm not sure why all the hate.  Yeah, it's not exactly a think piece, but it delivers as advertised.  You a serviceable movie about cowboys fighting aliens?  You came to the right place.  You want a horrible, boring squander of source material, a solid cast, and a can't miss premise?

Just saw this because I wanted to see what an F looks like.  I interpret the F in this case as an MYOF Fiasco of the tallest order, where a D- would indicate more of a Failure.  By that standard, this is indeed a well earned F.  It had so much wrong with it I don't even know where to start, but I'm not ashamed to say

Agreed.  Same for Robopocalypse.  Both would be wise to follow this template; good character selection, just enough time spent on each.

Please mark SPOILERS appropriately.  Though now that I know how the insemination works, I may have to not only watch this movie but the entire series up to this point, where otherwise I would have just avoided the whole thing.  I may have underrated this whole series after all.

I'll accept the certain ridicule to follow as the price of hopefully
reassuring a dad to be:  having kids was the best thing that ever
happened to me.  I may have just gotten really lucky partner wise, but our sex life is if anything better, though more time constrained as mentioned above.  The biggest issue for me

I found the Cross article interesting two ways.  On the one hand,
before I read it, I didn't really know what all the fuss over Larry
was.  I had seen a bit of his comedy and didn't like it, but also didn't
see what all the uproar was about.  I missed the
encouragement-of-racial-hatred parts before, and now that I am

I'll reply to myself and take the above back after reading the Cross article linked above.  If his quotes are accurate, and I'm sure they are, Larry is a bit more insidious than stupid and easy.  No matter what his works of kindness in the real world, he made that money in part from spreading racial hate, which

I agree, except I'm not even sure his popularity is too telling about the state of America.  Smart people can be entertained by stupid stuff, or at least easy stuff.  Because it's entertainment, right?  Not everything we watch or listen to has to be consequential.  Come to think of it, other than the crime of making

Way to subtly tell everyone your job / income are of sufficient status / size to attract women without being obvious about it.

Actually given what I'm sure are the spending habits of the band, that may not be too much to not just blow during the tour.

Or the time he raised awareness of the fever inflicted by Teacher Syndrome.

I thought this was the best episode yet, and I think this show has a lot of potential. Wouldn't be the first show to take some time finding its way. It's already picked up for another 10 eps after the finale next week, so here's hoping.

Agreed on Kenny Loggins. I'd also love to hear what Tim Robbins feels now about having a minor but well remembered role in the biggest budget, longest Navy recruiting commercial of all time. I'm somewhat ashamed to say I own the Blu-Ray special edition of Top Gun. When I was working there, there was a film crew on

I also saw one of these guys talk. During every Top Gun class, an old school fighter pilot is invited to Fallon to talk to the class before they graduate. One of the best I saw was from a former Tuskegee Airman. In fact, I wish the makers of this film (or at least the way it's shaping up in the trailer) had heard
