I was afraid the show was going to put Skyler in the cliche "suicidal helpless woman" role, although who could have done it more beautifully?  I felt the attraction of that gorgeous wavering blue water myself through the low-def televised image (speaking of which, why can't AMC switch to HD?).  But I underestimated…
