I mean, I suppose it could have been worse. I was expecting a grimmer version of that video where the kid streaming "Majora's Mask" just sort of slowly falls asleep while the chat pleads with him not to lose.

See, I've heard a lot of people say this - that somehow there's a "real twist" that gets widely missed or misinterpreted - but I've never seen anyone say what that actually is (you've probably come closer than anyone). And I say this as someone who, on the whole, enjoys "Signs".

I mean, Bowie's only getting 85% of the space on every article about an award he didn't win and is no longer alive to accept; it's nice to see that there's someone out there to remind us all that rap music is also bad in comparison.

Don't know what the author's going out about with this "carrying the torch" for audio drama or whatever; it's basically indistinguishable from the multiple channels where someone reads a creepypasta story aloud over eerie music, so either all of them are evidence of the genre's continued livelihood or none of them are.
