The casting on this show is just superb. Also, Gina Rodriguez is fantastic, and she makes such great connections and shows the unique, dynamic relationships you have with the different people in your life. For me, it kind of balances out all the heightened silliness that makes the show very fun and funny.

I feel almost like each episode is a film short. Even with the ongoing storylines and cliffhangers, it feels like each episode is its own complete story.

This show is really dear to my heart and I'm becoming more and more positive with each trailer. However. Why the fuck do half of the people in the trailer have British accents and the other half American?

Nick this episode almost killed me. I made the mistake of eating dinner while watching this, and I attempted to swallow my food during his big confessional monologue. Big mistake.

First sentence of the description for the second episode: "Jane's mom pressures her to sue the doctor."

I was completely uninterested in this premise, but was intrigued by how many critics were in love with this pilot. I've never seen a telenovela, and I'm not really into soap operas, but I absolutely loved this episode.
It found a way to make the artificial insemination even somewhat plausible in the very vivid world

Just watch the pilot. I was afraid of the same thing.

The narration actually reminded me a little bit of Pushing Daisies. And then I got sad that Pushing Daisies isn't on anymore.

John Mulaney tweeted a screen shot of an e-mail he sent to Steve Higgins, having him change one joke on the cue cards to the "doorman who high-fives children of divorce," and adding in Dan Cortese to every place.

I watch so much intense, dark stuff and this is a perfectly pleasant palate cleanser. I would like to see something a bit deeper to these characters over the season, but I'm okay with it being more on the vanilla side.

I'm very smitten with this show. I don't think its the second coming of television or anything, but so far, I'm enjoying it as a rom-com more than The Mindy Project. I could just be hypnotized by Katey Sagal's voice, though.

Maybe within the next five years. But right now most of her popularity is in the "big and brassy" roles. If she gets more parts like the one in the new film she has with Bill Murray, then maybe she can start to be a lot more selective and be taken seriously. Despite her popularity, she'll probably only be able to get

I think it's more that she found the one thing that casting agents are hiring her to do.

2010. They switched to Live + 7 within the past year.
FX also is extremely good to their show runners and has a reputation for being pretty hands-off and trusting the creative teams. (And no, I don't work for FX. I'd like to, but I don't).

FX is also really progressive about their renewals. They look at Live + 7, which pretty much no one else does and they'll renew things they believe in creatively even if the ratings aren't that great. No other network would have renewed The Americans for a 3rd season. So I'm trying to stay optimistic, here.

Yes, he was in the back of a taxi that was in a really nasty accident. I think it was in Philly, where he lives. You wouldn't know it looking at recent video of him, though.

Your Song has some of the laziest, nonsensical, stream of consciousness lyrics, but I absolutely love the chorus.

"No Scrubs" came out when I was in middle school and listening to a sadly large amount of top 40 radio, and the way they say "passenger" in "hanging out the passenger side of his best friend's ride" bothered the shit out of me.

I don't really have an issue with the song when compared to Independent Women, because I see it as her saying that the guy can't complain that she's moved on, since he couldn't make a commitment, in a "you can't have it both ways" thing. However, I thought it was funny that Beyoncé, who married fucking Jay-Z, was

Or as I was calling him, "Not Garret Dillahunt."
