There are a few shows that I almost exclusively watch with CC, and this one tends to be pretty spot on. They'll say hey and the captioning will say hello, little things like that, but the CC matches both in timing and in content pretty well.

I would like to see more depth from the supporting characters as well, but I think it'll be a little while until we get that. I think the writers felt they needed to keep Matthew Perry front and center to draw in audiences, hopefully the back 13 will do that.

Exactly. If you took out all of the parts that make Glee bearable, and amped up the amount of "very special episode" preachiness, and then made Sue Sylvester's character 100x's more racist, that would pretty much be New Normal.
