ugh, I hope you're wrong about Ted and the mother. I know the writers have already expressed that they're in no hurry, but I am! I need a reason to give a shit about Ted again.

While I watched my fair share of Nick at Nite during my insomniac years, I never saw Laugh-In. Thanks, though!
That might be it. Since I heard that yesterday, I've been trying to figure out where it was from. Thanks :)
Adam Pally's reading of that line killed me. Wasn't there another show that used to do that (If X married Y, they'd be Z…)? I can't remember if it was an old SNL skit, or something from Friends. Kind of remember it being something I watched in the mid-to-late 90's.
I disagree about the overall theme. I thought that almost all the sketches were based on the idea of one-upping (McFerrin-Winslow, soul food restaurant, even the puppy sketch).
I think the main thing I love about this show is how smart the comedy can be. If they're going to make jokes involving some pretty intricate…
Yup, pretty much. If you're going to one that has a specific well known headliner and one or two opening comics (like Caroline's in NYC), then it's not that bad. But when it's just a rotation of people best known for appearances on I Love the 80's, then yes, sex, racism and lots of misogyny.
It's never a good idea to take your boyfriend's mom and sister, who you're meeting in person for the first time, to a comedy club. Lesson learned and never repeated.
I actually really liked the Danica McKellar episode. Maybe it's just from being a girl who loved the Wonder Years when I was younger, but I found her to be such an interesting, well adjusted, intelligent woman who is doing some really kick-ass stuff. I loved her attitude regarding doing Maxim, wanting to show other…
I didn't listen to the Gilmarten one, I have a hard time listening to Maron when he's with someone I don't know, but I loved the Mullaly/Offerman episode. They're funny actors, and not comedians trying to do shtick the whole time, and I just overall found the conversation really interesting.
Coincidentally, I think they also announced the second season of My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding yesterday.
Nope, I'm giving that to the daughter on Body of Proof, who can't stay in character for shit.
I kind of took it like Castle's season finale in May/season premiere in September. We saw everything that happened, and Nick says something to Jess about them being good together or something (sorry, shit memory) before he passes out, the same way Castle tells Beckett he loves her after she's shot. Then the next…
I think because Keegan is so tall, anytime he does more physical comedy (in that stand up bit, in the intro, in the Angry Obama sketches), it's even funnier.
Sorry to be that person, but their conversation at the bar was actually about Game of Thrones, not Downton Abbey.
True. Then they would have had to find more than two women to nominate.
Only two stand up awards (one with 10 nominees), a writing award for a show that's heavily improvised, and the ability to nominate both Steve Carrell in The Office and Zooey Deschanel in The New Girl in the same year…
…yeah, fuck these awards.
I just finished The Wire, so I could use something fun and light before I move on to another series. Thanks!
I've unfortunately never watched the show before this season, and I'm super sad on how much other fabulous camp I've missed. This show is the most amazing thing currently broadcast on television.
I enjoyed Willam's West Side Story quip, but my favorite was when someone (Chad maybe?) asked Willam how many times she'd…
I'm not sure. I mean, just because they exist doesn't mean we have to listen to them. And yes, there are some people who are constantly on the podcasts I listen to, but I really don't mind that, and will download podcasts I don't normally listen to if I know someone I really like is on one.
Personally, I end up liking…
Exactly, Riverhead County Jail would sound laughable to anyone watching the show who didn't take a field trip there in High School.
