And by "quirky situations" they mean…
It's probably down to all the drug references. Although there's also some implied cunnilingus (I think?) and a mouthed swear word at the end.
The funny thing about the whole video game thing is that now there are a bunch of politicians calling for the R18 rating. Not because they think adults should be able to exercise their own judgement but rather because they think there should be more restrictions on violent video games. They're specifically selling it…
Really late here and ___ won't check back but I just wanted to point out that the country with the most Palme D'ors is the USA.
I feel weird about not really liking it. Belen Rueda is terrific of course and it has a couple very effective scares (the knock, knock scene in particular). But too much of it is given over to some pretty tired conflicts (like the rational vs supernatural) and no one outside of Rueda's character becomes more than a…
I was initially disappointed that its reflection on Franco's facism didn't go beyond: following orders without regard for morality is bad and fascism sucks the lifeblood from the people, but then I remembered it was a fairy tale and I figured simple moral lessons are part of the genre. And anyway the rest of it is so…

(Which is not to suggest that this isn't a good review. In fact I think Noel Murray does an excellent job of explaining what didn't work for him. It's just that there are lots of other people who really like it, so you might too.)
If you're interested I wouldn't be too put off by this review - it's had a lot of positive responses on the festival circuit.

Every time I here one of his songs on the radio I have the same opinion: fantastic, flawless production but awful, lame rapping.
It's called that because white material is a derogatory slang term for whites in some parts of Africa.
And if the worst comes to worse you could always just play the samples on the right ;).
Idiotking: That is awesome!

It probably would have worked better if you got the recipes (and the motivation to make them) towards the beginning so you're actually looking for particular objects rather than just clicking on everything to see if it gives you something.
@Lovecraft
They don't now but I remember there being a buzz just before the first one was released in Australia about our boys taking on the world et cet.
He did all the effects work himself but given that he used to do it professionally for the BBC (the modern architectural wonders series amongst others) I suspect the products he used might have been higher grade. (Having said that I haven't seen this yet.)
