Agreed.  I mean, technically it was sound.  There weren't any off key notes, and it was competently sung, but completely without feeling or understanding or heart.

I just wish they'd take a cue from Altman and let the damn music scenes play out like he did.  His camera just drifted and zoom in, and you got to take in the performance.

Any opinions how you might rank mine in the scheme of things.  Granted, it hasn't been featured, but the impression I've gotten is they're still judging all the entries, so I'm hoping I have a shot.  It was a real time consuming, labor of love and I earnestly hope the AVClubers might give it a shot at a wider audience.

How do you know?  Are you one of the finalists?  The AVClub gave the impression is was later this week.  Anyways, all the entrants should be notified either way, and I've not gotten anything yet.
