the relationship has to end, purely so it can serve as a punchline/climax to the opening episode joke about fiances not appearing in the family photos.

I just wish they had developed her character a bit more, or maybe had her appear a few episodes sooner.  It would've made much more sense if she appeared briefly, say, two episodes ago, far more polite, asking to tone down the noise and all of that, and watch as it escalates.  It would've been a far more nuanced study

I was hoping a house would land on her.

Damn, I knew my middle school sucked, but seriously, it looks like I got hosed here.  Do over!

I never went to a Bar Mitzvah but if movies and TV shows are at all accurate, they look amazing.

Yeah, that stuck out to me.  Every time I danced with a woman, it was both of my hands on her hips, and both of her on my shoulder.  Didn't have any instruction either.  That was just how we all did it.

I went to homecoming twice in high school, as a freshman and as a senior…the second time was only because I got asked, and didn't have the heart to say no.  I never did prom, as I never had a desire to rent a tux and go through all that nonsense.  Thankfully we had after prom, which was full of casino games where your

Okay, the moment where Kristina teaches Max to dance….that got me.  Plain and simple.  The episode was uneven, but this one brought it home for me.  Howard Hawkes once said a great movie has three good scenes and no bad ones.  This episode had a lot of "eh" scenes, but one damn, damn good one.  So maybe it evens out.

Yeah, Joseph Gordon-Levitt's makeup in that movie was just really creepy…he fell right into the uncanny valley, which I didn't think was possible with a living human being.

Yeah that was my bad for skimming.  I'd read the reviews of previous episodes, where he talks about the problematic handling of a character with retardation, and when I read the first paragraph, I presumed it was his core argument.  I missed his discussion which pretty much covered what I was saying.
