God the trailers alone had me groaning for this picture.  I swear it's become a cliche, a cousin to the Manic Pixie Dream Girl: Masterpiece Theater productions about brooding, darkly handsome Englishman trying to regain the love he lost, set against the backdrop of one of the Great Wars.

Mama Cass goes without saying.  And of course Paul Lynde.

Story pitch for what could be the greatest spinoff series ever:

We are not all smiles und sunshine…

Trust me, at it's heart, it's all about self hatred.  Like I said, I'm guilty of this, and deep down, it's because of insecurity, which we all have to various degrees.  Insecurity over whether we've made the right choices, whether we have the talent, whether we're good enough.  Each success someone else has make the

So I wanted to weigh in on all the Dunham/"Girls" backlash, speaking as one of those guilty offenders trying to make amends.  I've tried to search deep and figure out why I think there is this irrational reaction to the film.

Oh thank goodness she's continuing her exploration of the plight of the wealthy, famous and lily white!   That never gets old, as Lena Dunham has shown.

That was the same year as Casino came out..  Has he done anything good AFTER '95?

Somewhere, Brett Ratner is screaming a gay slur.

I'm seriously beginning to realize just how much DeNiro needed Scorsese.  Seriously, has he done ANYTHING good since he last worked with Marty on Casino?

My guess is the new trailer is what killed him.

Catherine Tate's "Nellie" is like Poochie.  I get the impression the writers behind the scenes are HELL bent on us liking her, and I fear it'll only be a matter of time before Jim and Pam and everyone will be asking, "Where's Nellie?"
