The Cybermen are all about denial of emotion. Craig's emotional storm triggered by the strongest emotional cue there is did for them. That works for me though the exploding heads just went over the line into silly and if it had been a two parter they could have had a less trite conclusion.

I am a bit worried. I don't like the 42 minute story format much anyway as you often get either plot or characters but not both. This one has am insane amount to do so… c'mon PLEASE work!

Well nail varnish remover used to kill Cybermen. It could be useful.

How do you know Rory doesn't have family there?

This is what I'm thinking. There are seeming contradictions and continuity fudges everywhere. I truly hope it is all on purpose.

She doesn't remember giving up in Apalapucia as that timeline was erased.

But The Doctor was saying that he dies tomorrow. Why would it be his personal tomorrow rather than the next day on Earth? How would he know? He has the Earth date as a reference, not his own age. So I'm thinking that Amy and Rory here are from before The Impossible Astronaut.

I read porno Banksy and only got that it wasn't from alurin's post. At least it's not just me.

Omega was last seen looking like Peter Davison. It would be pretty cool to have Davison reprise that role if Omega came back. They wouldn't even have to worry about the actor having aged as any amount of time could have passed for Omega. Also he only seems to show up on anniversary years. Something for 2013?

He did kidnap Ian and Barbara and accidently kidnapped Tegan. And Peri. I think he's trying to give up now.

In The Brain of Morbius he had eight other selves before the 'first'. So he should have died for good in Caves of Androzani. I guess they just forgot that.

Planet 1 near the beginning of The Pandorica Opens was great. Don't even blink or you'll miss it though. Rory has only had that evil sentient asteroid.

I don't remember Journey's end either. It's the cracks…

I think he's quietened down a lot this year. It's more atmospheric than huge fast orchestral attacks every time the Doctor moves. I'd like to hear someone else though.

That's right! She used magic (Science!) pixie dust! That was much better.

I saw The War Games from 1969 recently and was totally floored when The Doctor produced the sonic screwdriver and used it to…. unscrew a screw! It really made a big deal of it too. Honestly that scene works so much better now than it would have done then.

I just started watching Blake's 7 for the first time since it was on. The first episode at least stands up as a neat 1984 style nightmare version of the Star Trek universe. I never noticed The Trek thing when I was a kid, but it's definately a dark twisted response to the emergence of Star Trek on British TV by mostly

That style of design looks great in the short term but it lacks warmth and ends up being cold and dehumanising over time. Add in neglect and poverty and it gets nasty. Design over function I think.

That was a 'prequel' rather than a trailer. It's a self contained bonus scene. Hopefully it'll be on the DVD box set.

I think silly pirates after losing Melody would have been a terrible mistake. I can see where they're coming from there. At least this had a darker feel. Also Hitler and Black Spot would have been two wacky zany stories in a row. Earlier on Black Spot acted as light relief but here it would have been another crazy
