Everything after season four was kind of a blur of mediocrity to me, but this last season has actually been really funny. Last week's episode had me chuckling up a surprised storm.

Has anyone used 1iota before? I'm hoping to get tickets to see Scott tomorrow night in Park City, but so far I just got waitlisted. I'm wondering if we'll have a better time getting in if we show up early, Sundance style.

I've never given VB much of a chance, but you guys are making me want to check it out again. I'm a sucker for goofy extras like that.

I started to read this article the other day but then I discovered that it was a thousand pages long. But I'm glad someone went ahead and did all the research for the rest of us.

That was my first exposure to Scientology.  I remember thinking, "Why does Tool hate that guy that wrote Battlefield Earth so much?"

Yes, scripture verses taken completely out of context can sound questionable.

Also, "Lemme see the warrant."

Is it not cool to like this show anymore? Honest question. It seemed like it was hitting all the right notes with the AVC crowd.

WELL. NOW.
Don't, you tell me to SMILE!

You mean you don't hang out with Jinxx and Christian Coma?

I read an interview with Ken Casey a few years back and he seemed like a really cool guy. He didn't get into any of the silly hand-wringing  over "selling out" that makes so many punk rockers boring.

I've seen the Dropkicks a couple times live, and it's always a great show. My favorite was Emo's in Austin '03.
I think you're right about the fans too. There's a strong family vibe at their shows. A lot of it is just punk rock in general though.

This is a good point. And also, it's not really fair to criticize DKM for not being Irish anyway. Anyone that listens to their lyrics and doesn't just write them off as "Guinness-soaked pub rock" knows that they never claim or pretend to be Irish. They mainly sing about Boston pride and being blue collar. Of course,

I found out about six months ago that Flogging Molly put out an album in 2011, and forgot to tell anyone about it. It's not bad either.

Aside from a track on the Rock Against Bush, DKM barely mentions politics. And who didn't have a track on that compilation?

Well the first 30 seconds of that wasn't very good.

Does Coheed not count since they're really a concept band?

I'm just sick of all the hype for Whedon and the Avengers. It was a decent movie, now can we please stop talking about it.
