@avclub-eac75edc18b8546c46893fe4b75ab995:disqus Wow, I didn't realize that the scheduling was that bad. HE was paired with CougarTown last year, wasn't it, and that led to CougarTown being shipped off to TBS. I think ABC isn't the right network for it - they can't seem to get any non-family comedies (read: Modern

Trying to look on the bright side, I'd rather The Bachelor get run over by Smash (assuming NBC has power-paired it with The Voice or whatever their strategy was with Revolution) than HE taking the brunt of it.

Isn't Happy Endings going to be preempted next week for the SOTU also?
Are they even going to show it during sweeps?

I just saw a reference to this in another comment and realized - the pig in the break room last week! I'm ashamed I didn't catch it earlier.

The first few lines of this review are particularly painful given how it's going to draw comparisons with 30 Rock, which inspired an entire AVC article discussing how it's virtually a textbook case study of a sitcom final season. Maybe The Office should have had the 13 episode order and 30 Rock the full season.

Hurrah for the Calvin & Hobbes reference! But we have no idea what the Noodle Incident was - for the 4th of Ju-luau, we can safely assume from the closing scene that Archer made it with a luau pig.

When they revealed that she was alive, I figured she would be the long term foil for Reese, just like how Root is the long term foil for Finch. I mean, how cool would have it been if Stanton and Root joined forces and did the exact opposite of what Reese and Finch did?

True - but then they'd have to explain how the SAIC from the FBI identify her in the wreckage.

@avclub-eede55069a8d3430b54730901f49c230:disqus Yeah, the Mexican prison thing robs the moment of its power but I think it was necessary to solidify that Reese wasn't a cold-blooded killer anymore and to allow Carter and Fusco to keep working with him in good conscience.

I thought Kara would have made a great long-term villain a la Elias and Root. There seemed to be a story to tell - sounds like the cyber attack was supposed to be a bargaining chip for something ("buying a place in the afterlife for 3 dead spies). Originally, I thought she just defected to the other side.

Incidentally, I think it's one of the rare instances where network interference played a role in bring Carter into the fold earlier and made the series better (they originally intended to stretch it out for an entire season).

I don't want to make it seem that I'm criticizing the serial nature of the show - I love the characters like Elias and Root helping flesh out the world of PoI and that some of the best episodes are serialized. But I do enjoy one-offs (with recurring potential) like meeting Zoey Morgan and that episode in season 1 with

Well I guess we don't have to worry about Annie Parisse going over to The Following. This is a hard one. I loved the individual moments but as a sum, it fell short. I get the feeling they were told to clean house on the show - Donnelly, Snow and Stanton all being killed within two episodes pretty much wraps up

If NBC was smart, they would put Homonym against TBBT. It's the most popular show in America!

At least that other show got in their digs.

Thanks - the thing which I found ambiguous is that they put the one year later part before it zooms out to the pitch. I think in St. Elsewhere, it cuts after the last scene to the imagination reveal. It makes sense that the pitch would be about the entire story, but I guess there's some room for interpretation.

Can someone please help me interpret the ending tag? St Elsewhere ends with everything being a figment of someone's imagination - is the homage for 30 Rock to say the entire series a figment of the imagination, just the one year later was a figment of the imagination, or neither?

Airing a series finale during sweeps. Yes NBC, you PEACOCK comedy.

I know it's only in 2 seasons, but Person of Interest has evolved in an interest way like WiseGuy. They jazzed up the graphics (for better or worse) and you always see the PoI in the opening credits, but it's Michael Emerson's narration which sets everything up nicely. I'm hoping they keep updating the narration to
