He was interviewed on NBC Sports Network but nothing on the prime time coverage. A shame b/c he seemed like a very talented, well spoken and polite guy.

Shannon Miller was one of the commentators in the live stream and she was great. I think it helped that because she was discussing each routine live there was no sense of fitting her commentary to the script which is the way the prime time commentators came across.

I was furious about this as well, not just because it felt exploitative, but also because they opted to repeatedly show these young athletes in tears rather than the third Russian floor routine (which was similarly disastrous).

I watched the NBC live stream during the day and the primetime coverage for comparison (mainly so I could rewatch some of the apparatus events again) and I was amazed at how good the online coverage and commentary (with Shannon Miller and a guy whose name I don't recall) was in comparison to the primetime coverage.
