@avclub-5a1c0dcc8243c086c74ee944052f6f0f:disqus That's true.  But unfortunately that's the ultimate goal of violent settler colonialism: stay long enough until most people have forgotten the history and you can plausibly claim to be as native as anyone else.  The sectarian conflict was imposed intentionally from

@avclub-bf4491e6d6c9de35ad740ae76a7f9ccd:disqus Maybe Ray Charles didn't hit his wife and I'm unintentionally defaming him.  I think that I heard it somewhere so I repeated it.  That's the most I know.  And probably the same basis for 99% of the comments on the internet, right?

And he and McCartney were both of Irish descent.

If Lennon was full of shit, he at least gave the impression he was aware of it to whatever degree.  Kanye's horribleness as a personality is his apparent lack of awareness that he's full of shit.

@avclub-5a1c0dcc8243c086c74ee944052f6f0f:disqus Yeah, but in fairness, very many (if not most) of those people are the descendants of Scottish and English colonials.  Ian Paisley ain't an Irish name.  The north is just the part that, because they'd heavily settled it with Scottish Protestants, the UK could gerrymander

No, she heard young African-American males in her kitchen singing that song with its awful word and it broke her heart.  Why can't they only love themselves as she loves them?

@avclub-c5fa0e23050c9d66b9fecfe55277c01c:disqus In the first instance I was referring to Chris Brown.

As in an person of England or a student of English?  OR BOTH?
[Aw, awake too early. So the former. I'm slow.]

I think you're confused in a very fundamental way but I'm not sure how to be of help… other than to suggest that your conclusion may not follow from the premise.

In Lennon's case there was a Lennon the man and a Lennon the truly great singer-songwriter.  In Chris Brown's case there's a Brown the man and a Brown the artist of no merit whatsoever.  There's nothing else to say about him other than that he beat up his famous girlfriend; his music isn't worth talking about.  Also,

So looks like everyone hates John Lennon now.  Interesting.

WorldNetDaily?  Ooooh, an intellectual!  Simple folk like myself stick to Hot Air, I guess.  Listening to the lamestream media, you wouldn't even know that brave WWII vets are being death pannelled in FEMA camps.

@avclub-58672b837ee984722513f40096f5bd05:disqus Me too!  He was calling from da train der.

Larry da Perv called!  Larry da Perv!

@avclub-5dc978b30969d0ba612c37bb0543eafb:disqus Nah, because she would have to squeeze her way into each outfit, her bountiful curves straining against the fabric to nigh breaking point while she looked quizzically at herself from every angle in the mirror before pouting in frustration and stripping each off and

Now that I would watch.

@bradley:disqus I'm a rather mild chap but I will not hear anymore of this bizarre and outrageous traducement of Miss Vergara's beloved tits.

Looking upon her tits is like looking upon the face of God.

What I did took a lot of courage.  It's the only way I know.
