I'm not sure that any of our modern "actresses" will be remembered 20+ years hence like Bo Derek or Michelle Pfieffer. Well, except Selma Hayek. But the rest of our actresses famed for their looks? Is anyone going to remember Jessica Alba or whoever in 2030?

the only think I liked about it
The only think I liked about the lost in space bit was Gene's white loafer on the red planet. The rest of the space bit was just awful. And Gretchen Mol's wig??? That was just terrible. I don't want to even think about the search for genetic DNA (the horrible "gene hunt"—stupid…

By the way, IMDB's stream is just hulu's stream without the option to see it in high resolution. If you have a fast enough connection you can see it at 480p instead of just 360p if you go to hulu.com. Looks prettier on full screen.

Queen Gertrude, I had the same thought. Maybe the message was there to get him to go back to the house to see his new love interest was at risk and encourage him to back off. Although the facts that she told him she wants him to keep investigating and that Adelle said he wouldn't stop seems to belie that notion.

No love for Macross Plus?
I'm surprised to see no love for my introduction to anime, Macross Plus here. Maybe people think it's too kiddy, but I sure loved it back in the day.

Squirrel
Squirrel tastes sort of like rabbit, but a bit stringier. I guess you could say squirrel legs taste like a gamier chicken leg. Both sort of dark meat accept lots of other additional flavors as seasoning without drowning them out as it's not the most strongly flavored of meats.
