There are still adult movie theaters?  Who knew?  Let's hope that this "masturbating in public to porn one could just as easily see on the Internet" thing doesn't become the next hipster craze like fixie bikes or artisinal versions of food you could fat your local deli for one quarter the price;

The thing I found a bit hard to get was that we had Mekhi Phifer, playing an obnoxious asshole we're supposed to find unsympathetic, yet who was virtually indistinguishable from the equally obnoxious character we were somehow expected to find sympathetic in TORCHWOOD.

I agree that Drunk Sookie was just flat-out adorable.  Not enough to wash away the memory of Self-Righteous Sookie, Inexplicably Adored by Everyone Sookie, etc., but, hey, it's the first time in a long while I didn't find her annoying beyond endurance, so there's that.

I guess it's just my age (I'm old enough to remember rushing home from high school so I could watch the Watergate hearings on tv), but despite some heavy competition in the years since then, Nixon's always been the Gold Standard for political villainy for me, partly because he was personally just such a weird, twisted

A minor trivia point:  I apologize if someone's already pointed this out, but given that writer/producer David Weddle, who had written a well-regarded biography of Sam Peckinpah (IF THEY MOVE … KILL 'EM) had already salted his BATTLESTAR GALACTICA scripts with WILD BUNCH references, I can't say I'm surprised that two

You mean, like, do the prisoners spend the bulk of their time taking showers in slow motion?

Kirsten Dunst at 11 was eerily convincing in INTERVIEW WITH A VAMPIRE.  Still might be her best performance, actually.
