Agreed about the lack of a season-long story… There have actually been quite a few plot threads thrown out so far — Luncheonette, Drew's girlfriend, Amber moving out, baby-buying, Dr. What's-his-name, Haddie graduating — but none of them really seem to have the dramatic weight to anchor the season like the…

I guess the show's a lot better when you're only half-watching, because I was messing around on the internet for that whole hour and I totally missed what was apparently the worst part of the episode… Ban dodgeball? Mmm.

I made an account just to comment on this show and how amazing I think it is… I used to watch Jurrasic Park all the time when I was a little kid, and I've never seen any of Laura Dern's other work, so to see her kind of come back (at least to my television) in something as unique as this is pretty incredible, I think.
