Ditch it or Pitch it?
Being a Canadian I always find it jarring when an American talks about their picnic in the park in January. Why did the British seem content to stick only to the frozen parts? They had all kinds of time to lock in California.
Maybe Community season 7 can find a home on AVClub TV.
This will probably be pretty good for the ratings and quality of guests. The guest quality on the last season seemed to be pretty low with a lot of middling comedians who would be better placed in the second character segment.
Serious question - do the younglings these days see CGI the way us older folks do who actually saw the transition take place? For me CGI is usually jarring and it always instantly makes me feel like I'm watching a cartoon. But when a ten year old sees some lazy and unconvincing CGI fuckfest do their brains actually…
You would think that if they have tsunami and viral technology they would just do something practical like hurl bomb after bomb.
The newest brand of feminism?
I see no numbers or sub-titles in the Spider-Man movie. Are we being treated to a third origin story in 15 years?
What if I'm a partially-disabled mullato hermaphrodite? That's pretty diverse.
It looks like it has that teal and orange thing going on that's in all the Michael Bay movies.
I read the graphic novel plot summary on wikipedia and it sounds quite ridiculous. Very teenage-angsty (I'm so tortured about this breakup I'm going to take a bunch of pills, oh no now I'm terminally ill from the pill abuse and in my final days I'm going to complete this diary about my love affair).
I don't think you can call that a snub as I thought it was a terrible movie. It was basically a third rate teenage love story worthy of a tv show on the CW network, except with lesbians. It was mostly three hours of people eating pasta or sleeping, and crying, crying, crying, and holy fuck so much crying. It was well…
I simultaneously think you sound like sort of a dick while also agreeing with you 100%. It's very conflicting. You shouldn't confuse my programming this way.
The acting was unfathomably bad, which I blame on Mila. She is capital-A Awful. I've never seen her in something where she didn't seem to be reading the lines off the page for the first time.
How does Chevy get a Razzie for HTTM2? He's in it for like one minute doing a pretty routine cameo.
My secret shame is I actually enjoyed the Phantom Menace when I saw it in theatres, including the pod racing. I was 20 at the time so I had absolutely no excuse, although the special effects were advanced for the time and it was an immersive theatre experience. However, I did think Jar Jar was incredibly awful and his…
"Hey, stop stealing my lines!" - to Shia LeBeouf.
Why I'm not one to scoff at racial theories of class inequality, I'm not sure I'm on board with this one.
It's reverse hair petting racism!
Those articles are a treat. The same people showed up every week without fail to talk about how much they hate Carmen and why they think she's not funny. Every week. Every article. Their clicks still counted as ad revenue.
