Prediction (with spoiler)
It's very easy for the identical person to go from a 3 to an 8. You sound like you have very little interest in investing time and energy in making yourself more attractive. Make a resolution - that you are not going to try or even think about dating for the next year. Resign yourself to accepting that you have one…
I'm going to risk being called a troll, and maybe risk actually acting like one, by asking what the deal is lately with AV Club turning into some kind of group therapy session for people with low self esteem - it's getting a bit ridiculous.
I'm not sure if some superficial pop culture overlap really qualifies two people as being 'too similar.'
I gave this a chance and was thoroughly entertained. It's actually quite clever.
I felt like this was an A idea that started with an A execution, and then about 1/3 of the way in it was like the book forgot what it was doing and petered out into a plodding and disinterested narrative.
Would that be masturbation or gay sex?
And that's part of the problem. I can actually imagine some teenager in the 90's when I was in high school wearing a tshirt with a suicide note from someone famous (can't think of an example, but for instance if Hendrix had killed himself). Kids are tasteless, is basically what it comes down to.
Shouldn't they set that up instead of assuming we'll assume the character is the type of person who would do that?
In a country where, in certain states, you can both carry open firearms and shoot aggressors with impunity, how is this even leading to a charge? Are all the yanks in Wisconsin a bunch of pussies or something? Bunch of gay married socialists?
The original Jurassic Park is a classic. The second was enjoyable for the full on carnage, the third is a piece of junk. This new one looks like a cartoon. CGI ruins absolutely everything.
I would be very pleased if they reviewed more quality contemporary literature. It's either bestseller pop culture books or rather obscure and very specific stuff, or nonsense like Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. Which is just fine as long as the general reviews are diverse enough to include quality contemporary…
This joke is clunky enough to warrant a
Wow, just looked at his IMDB page, he's been involved in a lot of garbage. I won't be so pessimistic the next time I hear a project I'm looking forward to is being written or directed by someone with a crappy resume. I suppose work is work.
It's a little scary that they are now the self-appointed arbiters of justice. What could this issue possibly have to do with fighting the oppressive powers that be? It's a pop starlet.
Waltz Schmaltz Vaults Faults
Maybe the Walkman was a mutant - that could work too! The big joke can be that everyone calls him Walk Man and claims his superpower is that he can walk really far. Man does that get Walkman angry!
What's funny about their first choice of planet is that they would already know that the person down there has only been there for a few minutes (before being obliterated). In which case, how did they even have any data they could rely on? Unless time could move slowly and quickly at the same time. Too much science!
How come everyone has to think like you to not be automatically considered dumb? Nolan is a great story teller, in spite of his flaws, and Interstellar did an amazing job of setting a mood and sucking you in. The fact that I enjoyed the movie and didn't let the bookshelf destroy the experience for me does not make me…
Fair enough.
