"…I loved The Fall, which Scott shrugged off, and I'm not sure anyone else even bothered to see."
How is that possible? (The shrugging and the not bothering, not the loving.) I'm curious if Scott saw it at TIFF in '06.
FWIW, Ebert loved The Fall, too.

favorite moments
Emerson having his hands stroked by Chuck and Ned simultaneously was right up there with the previously-mentioned "Oh hell no" and "I wouldn't say never."

If Daisies isn't revived FFS make Pace a Mad Man.

warning signs > deal breakers
1) A former sig other had never seen Dazed and Confused (one of my favorites), watched it on DVD and didn't care for it.
2) I had never seen My Big Fat Greek Wedding (one of said SO's favorites), watched it on DVD and didn't care for it.
Hindsight's 20/20.

I'm with Los re. High Fidelity (movie and book) but a former sig other was of a like mind with Grimace from McDonald's, so much so that said SO didn't even finish watching it.
To quote/paraphrase a line from another favorite flick with Cusack, I should've known then that the relationship was doomed.

I tore myself away from Mad Men long enough to watch Nabin on Channel 5 yesterday morning. (What is a reasonable number of audio commentaries? Seriously.) Having him on increased their viewership by at least one as I can honestly say that I have never watched them before—nothing personal, not a morning (show)
