I'm super late to the party, but this was wonderful. A joy to read, really. I look forward to more of your reviews.

Wow. I mean, even without the whole safety issue I would not want to have prom on a boat. I cannot get over the 'can't leave' aspect. Or maybe I've watched too much It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and I'm thinking about the 'implications.'
I agree. Dean knew how important him going to college was for Rory, but I never got the feeling that Dean cared very much himself. His heart wasn't in it.
It is heartbreaking, isn't it? That moment also perfectly captures their entire relationship: Jess is hurting and doesn't tell Rory why, but she still knows that something is wrong. So painful to watch.
Paris is right, though. Who wants to have prom on a boat? You can't leave, people are going to get sick (food poisining, sea sick) and drunk teenagers are going to fall overboard. It's just a really stupid idea.
I really like that too. It's a whimsical opening to a pretty devastating episode Rory/Jess-wise. Lauren Graham. of course, nails it. The beat right before she starts to sing. The flowery gestures she makes. The way she pursues Rory. A nice little funny moment before the heartbreak.
It's so awkward. She just pushes and pushes and pushes. Max obviously doesn't want to see her, much less talk to her. He looks extremely uncomfortable. He doesn't owe her an explanation for anything. Just get away from him, Lorelai!
REVOLUTION!
Oh, yes. Definitely.
Thanks for clearing that up. It seemed like a really long time ago. Watching two episodes a week feels like a crawl.
^This. So much.
Your colour observations are still my favourite thing about these reviews. I do miss Miss Patty, though.
Plus, Fever Dog is a great song.
Tom is such a sadsack. I like how as Poe he has zero time to put up with Kirk's shit.
I haven't seen it in a long time, but I really liked it. Maybe this is like Crash? Almost everyone is gushing about it one moment and then we're all supposed to hate it the next? I don't know. I don't get this we-despise-what-was-once-popular thing. But I don't understand 'ironically' liking someone either. Guess I'd…
The 'Little did I expect that my demise would come this early' line is perfection. It's said with such gloomy, doomed intonation that you can almost hear the horror soundtrack to go with it.
He's hilariously full of himself in Dick. His hairflips are legendary.
Honestly, I don't care about the strings showing as long as it means that we get to keep Paris.
I understand that Richard and Emily and even Rory think that repaying the loan is cruel and petty, but I sympathise with Lorelai's intention.
It's one thing to be over 30 and borrow a large sum of money from your parents (for whatever reason) if you have a good relationship with them. It's quite another to have a…
I dislike Logan because he's basically Christopher lite. I have to admit that he's charming, though. After watching The Good Wife I must conclude that the charm is all Matt Czuchry. He always has that twinkle in his eye.
