On and On and On is beautiful.

Pretty sure that was the Bible, specifically in one of the poetic books of the Old Testament

I'm with you, OP - I think Pieces is their best work.  And also (not coincidentally) their funkiest.

Agreed. Saw the score (but didn't read the review) before I watched the episode today, and was quite surprised at how much different my reaction was.

The National have too deep of a songbase to put on a satisfying opening set for me. I imagine many Okkervil fans would feel the same.

Slayed? is their best studio album IMO

Raise your hand if
You are the only person you know (excepting a spouse/significant other) who watches this show.

Nevermind [DGC, 1991]
After years of hair-flailing sludge that achieved occasional songform on singles no normal person ever heard, Seattle finally produces some proper postpunk, aptly described by resident genius Kurt Cobain: "Verse, chorus, verse, chorus, solo, bad solo."

Molly Parker - and yeah, that was definitely her.

Emmy competition
Friday Night Lights and Justified are better than any of the non-AMC shows listed. Sons of Anarchy can make a good case as well.

True Blood is palatable/enjoyable/worthwhile ONLY insofar as you can justify investing the time on a show dedicated to hot people trying their best (with relative success) to be campy.

Agreed, the Shield finale tops them all.

i don't like my indie music to be made by rich preppy kids unless it's ironic, sarcastic, or transcendently amazing.

Those bonus tracks on the Legacy Sweetheart w/Gram on vox are so money. Gets me officially very excited again just thinkin' about them.

Bang!
Done!
