Will Harris singer interviewing Lance Henriksen is the best thing that's going to happen this week. And there's plenty of room for a sequel!

LOL strawmen

Aside from taking a few shots at Berg, I don't see that interview setting fire to anything. He's actually pretty complimentary to everyone on the show, and HBO.

'This would work only if Amy were saying this just to screw with Dan. That I could see.'

As a plot point that's modeled on Reagan getting credit for freeing the Iran hostages at his inauguration despite Carter doing all the work, it's vaguely plausible. But making such a big deal out of Tibet–that 'freeing Tibet' is something Americans are so invested in that it can make a politician's career–it's

I'll also say, as a teacher, it's not uncommon to have a brain freeze about some basic information, especially if you're not working from notes.

This all seems plausible. Using Tibet as an explanation for why Selina's a viable presidential candidate is pretty thin and unconvincing. And Jonah is clearly a Trumpian candidate. So I can believe someone pushed the plot reset button for the last episode.

Jonah's got a lot of family connections, which might explain (or at least allow us to handwave) the age issue by suggesting he's a wealthy layabout who got a late start in his career, and was ultimately helped only by his connections.

I think we can trace Selina's increasing disdain for Catherine to her coming out–Selina dislikes that her daughter's a lesbian but, being a politician, can't say that. (But in general I agree that all the characters have been Flanderized to some degree.)

Honestly you don't see many moments on Veep that demonstrate Selina's politcal savvy, or suggest how she became a major political figure. This flashback in particular gave us some of that. Aside from the flashback at the spa, I thought they were the most interesting parts of the episode.

Seriously, I'm glad there are investigations into whether or not Trump's people coordinated with the Russians to meddle in the election, but Stein needs to be investigated as well. (And maybe she is?)

LOL bernie woulda won

Absolutely agreed. It was a great payoff.

Sure she's only having dinner in Russia with Putin during an election that the Russians disrupted; nothing to be suspicious of at all

Probably not, but I think it's a good idea to shame anti-vaxxers by making Rob Schneider out to be their spokesman.

the thinking behind that is that Jill stein's a fucking moron who'll do anything that she can raise money behind.

Arcmage is just asking questions, man!

Also, Leon's obsessed with Selina. Selina likes having sycophants around her. It makes perfect sense to hire Leon as the new Mike.

Marjorie's excited shout seemed like the payoff to a joke two years in the making. Hopefully her and Catherine fade into the background next year
