True conservatives Silicon Valley entrepreneurs don't give a shit about politicians screwing over other people. They only get upset when it might affect them.

1) it makes perfect sense, referring to the deal he made with Richard that he doesn't want his wife to know about; 2) what makes no sense is thinking that he and Richard had a fling since there's absolutely no evidence that it ever happened on the show; thinking so is fan-theory wankery.

No it didn't

Subtitle for the Titus sequel has to be Aaron's Revenge.

Quadrilogy! Don't forget Richard III.

Wait, did Eazy get banned? I haven't seen him recently (although I haven't been on AVC as much lately.) I disagree with him from time to time, but I think he generally keeps his strong opinions pretty sharp-but-civil.

I think it's increasingly clear that Univision's plan is to turn AV Club into the new Gawker.

I'm absolutely on board paying $10/month to access AV Club without ads or clickbait (provided they made a commitment to return to more robust pop culture coverage). I wonder if something like the Patreon model, which seems to have become widely accepted for podcasts, might be adaptable to websites.

Also, the days when there was an ethical debate about whether the internet should be monetized at all.

Indeed the mid-1990s were, in retrospect, holy holy days.

Me too.

I think that's not just the joke but the backbone of the show. The hardworking talented techs always end up back at square one, while I guarantee you by the final episode Big Head will be the next Steve Jobs.

Mercurotones is a fantastic record.

Especially considering this was the 90s, the steroid era of rock. I would have guessed this sold at least 5 million; it was everywhere for a year or so.

Once again, AV Club seems aghast that a sitcom just wants to be funny.

Same thing with Dave Chapelle; I think just about every sketch of that third season of Chapelles Show was about how famous he'd become. He was right to walk away.

Just saw this tonight, so, FWIW:

Mary Gross was underrated. Solid improv background and a knack for experimental humor. Probably would have fared better under Michaels rather than Ebersol.

'It certainly seems as if political concerns are very much driving things. I think it's making them less perceptive critics.'
