I think Oliver's got to get over FIFA/the IOC etc. Yes these international sports organizations are hilariously corrupt, but they're not that hilarious, and after his Brexit stuff last night I was wondering 'why the fuck should I care about doping?' FIFA/IOC have become soft targets for easy Oliver material.

Can I just say that they way people are debating this issue on this (very interesting) thread makes me hope that a situation close to this never happens in real life. The country would melt down!

I've said it before and I'll do so again: Veep dug itself into a hole when they fast tracked Selina into the presidency. Right now it's a big goddamn hole.

There's a certain HBO exec on these boards who would agree with your reading.

'that's not the sort of thing you want a story to get you thinking about while you're in the midst of it'

To sum up this review: 'The Sopranos sucks because we never find out what happens to the Russian.' I think at this point Game of Thrones doesn't feel it needs to hold its viewers' hands, but it's clear from this review that some people want more hand-holding.

Yeah the rent's too damn high in the Danger Zone proper; can't blame him for looking for something outside the limits

I'm not convinced. At best he lives near the highway to the Danger Zone.

The real Green River killers were Stone Gossard and Jeff Ament, who kicked Mark Arm out of the band so they could make more commercial rock.

Just this morning on TV I saw him playing 'I'm Alright' with Darryl Hall, so it's safe to say he lives nowhere near the Danger Zone.

I'll stand up for Device. Holly Knight was a great AOR songwriter! Paul Engemann had the voice of a god! Gene Black played the guitar!

Yeah this is exactly what a Hatesong should be. It even encouraged me to listen to the song so I could hate on it too! (It's awful.)

Holy shit. I missed that, so I looked for it, found it, now I'm sincerely depressed.

'While many people haven’t thought about the late ’80s and early ’90s college rock stalwarts since the first Bush administration'

Hey, he is a scientician, and we did ask him.
