They did a little bit with the unreliable narrator thing in the excellent "Mad Love", which was much more of a Harley origin story. Yeah, I think that coming so quickly off the heels of Batman Returns was probably a factor. They didn't really need to introduce Penguin to their audience the same way they'd have to introduce someone like Mad Hatter or Riddler.

Maybe it's just me, but when Boyle and Wayne are talking prior to the event, and Wayne goes "I feel ill." it sort of sounds like the Bat-voice creeping in a bit there over the Wayne-voice.

I think to an extent he believes he can stop the damage that comes from it, which is why he does things like try to reason with Freeze, and why he doesn't just kill the Joker etcetera etcetera.

The "Uncanny" combo is really easy to get. Just go in Arcade, set it to an easy difficulty, pick Modok, Iron Man and Deadpool. Build up 3 levels of meter in a match, and then just do a triple hyper. Guaranteed Uncanny combo.

Spidey's web-ball assist is one of the best ground assists in the game, I think. He's a decent enough character overall, I don't see what really sucks about him or makes him a #1 choice. Maximum Spider is a really good hyper to combo into, since it has almost an entire screen's worth of range.

There may not be as many characters as in MVC2, but here they all feel viable. Even characters like Spencer, whom I don't really use much, all feel like you can win matches with them, and all the characters feel pretty unique. I was worried that X-23 was just going to be a complete Wolverine…

They desperately need to add Spectator mode into the lobby matches, and fix the netcode for finding ranked/player matches. I spent more time getting FAILED TO CONNECT or CONNECTION TO HOST LOST than I did fighting, though putting on Fight Request and playing Arcade/Training seemed to get me in matches pretty quickly.
