I can never hate Smith because by all accounts he's a good guy – I used to live not far from him in Hamilton and I'd see him from time to time at the grocery store or Canadian Tire or wherever and he'd always be happily chatting with people who recognized him and signing rolls of duct tape and what-not.

I'm not gonna lie. I frequently laughed out loud at the Bill's Home Movies.

I hardly think sleeping wrapped in the confederate flag counts as "Dukes of Hazzard" sheets

Oh man, I thought that was just me. Those shirts are like a stink amplifier.

You know I love ya, Smacky, but I couldn't resist the cheap shot!

That got an honest-to-goodness guffaw out of me.

The whole Live Anthology set is pretty great and definitely worth picking up if you're a fan – lots of interesting covers and deep cuts alongside some awesome versions of the greatest hits. I got it when it first came out and it was pretty cheap – under $25 for a 4-CD set.

I don't feel right "liking" this comment, but I like that I may have an answer to how being pissed on at the zoo as a child can affect the rest of your life.

Once when I was at the zoo for a class field trip I saw a kid from another school get pissed on by a tapir – he was standing by the fence and this thing just walked by and let loose a garden hose sized stream of piss soaking him from the waist down.

Yeah, it's like I used up all my good vibes for the day before 8:30 and I'm not getting any more until tomorrow.

If it's any consolation, that robin is not only fat but also apparently a smoker so he's greatly decreased his life expectancy.

For some reason, the only farm animal I feel bad about eating is goat… I don't know why, they just seem to have more personality than cows or pigs or whatever.

My wife and I are both driving 12+ year old cars, each with over 300,000 km on them and they seem to have made a suicide pact to go out together… so we might be buying two god damn cars this year. Holy shit.

Never had it but can't say I'd be averse to it. Apparently there's a fancypants restaurant near me (that I've never been to) that serves a "Quack and Track" dish (duck and horse) which I kind of want to eat because I like food that rhymes.

I'm going to cheat and post my entire commute shuffle playlist because the whole thing was fucking great today:

One of the highlights of my high school career was when a kid sitting next to me inadvertently farted the Barney Miller bass line and everybody joined in and hummed along.

O'COCK

That was the first time I'd heard of kale and now that everybody seems to be eating kale and talking about eating kale all the fucking time I really want to drink a big bottle of Veggie Boy.

Ha! I'd seen that other Ryden painting before but didn't realize it was a Marcy Playground album cover. I don't fault him for either though… dude's a paintbrush for hire and even if the subject matter is a bit juvenile his work is quality.

Interesting article – thanks for posting that.
