The character Annabeth Gish's was based on was annoying at the start, but how she ended up fitting into the overall plot was well done.

This is a good list, all of these except The Choice would be on mine, Beirut is Back would be a bit higher.

Yes, methane is far more potent than carbon dioxide, which is why (aside from rising sea levels) the ice caps melting is a problem - there is methane trapped in the ice, which would lead to a positive feedback situation.

I spent an entire semester looking at fracking for an Environmental Impact Assessment class, and gas companies are able to manipulate the entire impact assessment process. It's very difficult to have a balanced view on this subject, I haven't read any scientific articles that argue there is little to no environmental

Oops, wrong window.

I really want the original House of Cards, which was brilliant. The US version is midway through screening in Australia and it's just ok.

Season 7 is my brother's favourite. It happened to be the first one I saw, and I like it, but I still think the first two are the best. Season 5 was just painful, but I would have loved to read reviews.

I don't think I'd want an Australian version of this show, we're living a twisted version of it right now and it's quite tiring. I'd be much more interested in a UK adaptation because the Lib Dems are much more interesting than the political mudslinging that takes place here without any sort of substantial policy

Sunday weddings aren't that uncommon in Australia, they just usually take place in the afternoon. Or at least that's what I can gather from driving past all those people getting photos taken in the park on Sunday afternoons. Friday and Saturday are the norm though.

I basically haven't watched the back half of the season after they decided to renew it again. I guess once they found out it didn't have to be a series finale they saw an opportunity. I'll watch this episode though.

A real-time version of Barney and Robin's wedding would be the most low-stakes version of 24 ever. And I'd kind of love it.

At least we can look forward to Sharks Aplenty.

I was going to say, Todd needs to stop writing Newswires just to avoid looking after you guys.

"Australia" was pretty awful too. Totally a movie about a certain section of Australia that caters to overseas perceptions of the country. And Hugh Jackman (aka pretty much the only reason I went to see it).

This episode was in the top 3 funniest episodes of New Girl for me along with Menzies and Eggs.  It was mainly Nick at the beginning, but Jake Johnson was once again fantastic.

If all that happens, it might end up being my favourite show. If only because I felt like Barney/Robin on HIMYM felt a bit like lazy writing - these two people are single, let's have them be together!

He should have kept the flower in his ear. I liked that.

I felt bad for him too because my recent birthday was kind of underwhelming. What's really meta about the whole thing is that I was so invested in the other characters that when Winston was offscreen I completely forgot about him and his birthday.

I don't think it's easy to start a law firm, but I think it's a goldmine for stories, and I think they ran out of L/G stories.I think the decision the showrunners made will bring a breath of fresh air to the series - it's going to be a struggle for them, and once you've made equity partner, where do you go from there?
