In defense of the horrible awful no good marriage of La Guerta and Batista, the writers seem to have remembered this and, in my opinion, are building it into the final season. Batista is the last good cop in homicide and when Maria goes missing or whatever happens, his history with her may finally pay off.

In Harrison's defense, Hannah's hotter than Jamie. Little man has good taste.  Anyone else think this line foreshadows a kidnapping plot next year to come full circle on Hannah's previous marriage when the man didn't want kids and she did?

I'm convinced Batista's restaurant is a meta joke. It's just the writers having a laugh with talk of "retirement" so each week the audience just waits for him to get caught in the cross fire and each week he escapes to build the mythology of his fledgling eatery empire a little more.
