Seconded on "Chimes of Midnight" A wonderful piece of writing and voice acting

Nope.. Eight is most definitely not "N/A" in this category.

In high school I went to see the scorpions in concert during their tour for this album. One of the guys I was with was an exchange student from Germany. Guy broke down in tears in the middle of a rock concert. Damnedest thing.

"Something To Beleive In" and "Every Rose" were Poison not Cinderella. And count me as another who thinks Cinderella got a bad rap. Yeah, their first album had some cheese on it, but they got bluesier and less glam as time went on.

deer are not Bambi. Deer are car destroying disease factories. I'm only exaggerating slightly.

I saw Ratt open for Aerosmith.

Guh! I've fallen significantly behind on Big Finish but that sounds fucking unbelievable! Could I jump right to it or are there set up stories I would need to catch up on?

It's funny. I watched both Web and Enemy in reconstruction format and came away thinking Enemy was good and Web was great. Seeing them now my conclusion is that Web is very good but Enemy is a stone cold classic.

She could easlly serve as this shows version of Chesihire.

Hmmm… We already have Deadshot, Bronze Tiger, Count Vertigo… Throw in Cpt. Boomerang and…. Could they? Would they? Nah, probably too much to hope for.

McDuffie is one of my all time favorite comic book/animation writers.  But I agree that his mainstream stuff for Marvel and DC isn't his best work. I love pretty much all of his DCAU scripts, but it's his writing at Milestone that really showed off his "voice" as a writer best. Which isn't all that surprising I guess.

Yay! New DS9 reviews.  I'm still following along, I just don't post much here anymore, mostly because I've gonna almost completely tablet for both home and work usage, and frankly, Disqus is for all intents and purposed unusable on an iPad.  But if anyone remembers/cares that I was one of DS9's stronger detractors, I

Actually, his dad only beat him into a deep coma, wherein his tortured subconscious mind deals with his crippling neuroses by dreaming that he is a starship captain.

I don't hate all musicals, (anything with the Muppets in it, for instance, can win me over) but in general I'm not a fan of the genre.  And I have to say, assuming that anyone who doesn't like musicals is either homophobic or lacks some sort of greater musical understanding is incredibly foolish. While I know there

I disagree. I took an upper level course on Tolkien in college (way back when), and I was quite surprised by thematic depth that could be found in these books that I enjoyed as a child. The Silmarillion in particular has a lot going on beyond the surface.

Ugh.  The mallrat Medusa scene kind of ruined that episode for me.  Such painfully awful attempts at humor.  The ending is awesome though, and B'wanna Beast is fun.

I also can agree with this, provided you are talking about the unedited version. Speaking of which, I assume that is the version AVC will be covering since the edited version almost neuters the whole story.

@avclub-fc234124d1d8a21900cb7e428a012fa4:disqus You beat me to it.  She fits perfectly with the "Arrow" aesthetic.

@avclub-13d7df3c17502af69aafccc758195f96:disqus Has it right.  The problem is a basic one of fiction writing: "show don't tell".  We are being told that Laurel is an awesome, dynamic, caring single-female-lawyer type. But we are actually being shown very little of those qualities in action. Most of her screen time is

Quick, someone get Peter Jackson to a mixing studio!
